Private Yoga Sessions
Personalized guidance can take you further.
Group yoga classes are wonderful, but the real magic happens in private yoga sessions where each practice is tailored to exactly what you need.
I specialize in blending yoga with Buddhist mindfulness practices for holistic health and stress management, so you can expect a range of practices that nourish the body as well as the mind. I have advanced certifications in the following areas:
Developed by master teacher Sarah Powers, Insight yoga is a heart-centered approach that interweaves the insights and practices of Yoga, Buddhism, Taoism, and Transpersonal Psychology. A typical practice blends slowly-flowing, strength-building (yang) postures with floor-based (yin) postures to cultivate presence and harmonize the body, as well as seated meditation from the Buddhist tradition.
Designed to nurture and inspire trust in your body during pregnancy, while preparing you for childbirth and beyond. Expect meditation, movement and opportunities for deep relaxation.
The practice of undoing. A combination of restorative yoga, healing touch and guided imagery, Therapeutic Yoga supports the mind, body and spirit in the process of healing. It is uniquely designed to help those who are recovering from injury or illness, their care-givers, and anyone that needs a bit of self-care. This rejuvenating practice can guide you to a sense of wholeness no matter the challenges you face. Therapeutic yoga is not a substitute for standard medical and psychiatric care. Rather, it is intended to be a nurturing compliment to your self-care routine that improves your sense of wellbeing so the body can restore.
Reclaim forgotten movement and heal the whole self with floor-based yoga. Combining breath, subtle movements and deep relaxation, Self Awakening Yoga is designed to recondition the body for greater range of motion, release emotional tension and unleash your creative potential.
The quiet practice of Yin Yoga offers us the opportunity to explore your shadow side, the cooler recesses of body and mind. Providing much needed balance to active, heat-generating “yang” forms of yoga, Yin Yoga targets connective tissue, especially fascia, for greater flexibility and mobility in the joints and spine. Yin Postures are held for several minutes, presenting a unique opportunity for introspection, unlocking the door to patience, compassion and “inter-being” in your yoga practice and daily life.
