Pranassage® is a creative synthesis of yoga and bodywork that produces profound mental and physical relaxation. Your body will be moved through a flowing sequence of yoga postures designed to put you back in touch with the wisdom of your own body.
The “magic” of Pranassage comes from the manipulation of prana, the body’s intelligent life force. Prana is the energy behind your heartbeat, the pulses of your nervous system, and the flow of your breath. Through touch, pressure, and traditional yoga postures, Pranassage offers a unique opportunity to inquire into this energy, to resynchronize the mind and body, and to fully experience the present moment.
While the only goal of your Pranassage session is pure relaxation, you may experience other profound and deeply healing effects including increased concentration and energy, realignment of the muscles and bones, and an increase in the flow of blood and nutrients to forgotten parts of your body.
Your only role in your Pranassage session is to let go and enjoy the experience of being in your own body. Pranassage is appropriate for people with no previous experience with yoga as well as seasoned yoga practitioners because each session is tailored to your individual needs. New yogis will be surprised at how easy it is to unwind, while experienced yogis will enjoy the opportunity to connect with themselves on a more profound level.
A typical Pranassage session lasts 90 minutes. You should wear loose fitting and stretchy clothing to facilitate the flow of movement. Long pants are encouraged to avoid pinching the skin.
